How does an evaporative humidifier work?
Air passes through the water-saturated wick filter, causing water to naturally evaporate before the humidified air is circulated throughout the room. The process mimics natural evaporation, no heating elements, no pressurized spray.
Does an evaporative humidifier produce visible mist?
No. there is no visible mist or spray. Evaporative humidifiers release moisture as invisible water vapor. So there is no wet floor around the unit or white mineral dust on furniture.
How long does the wick filter last?
The wick filter is machine-washable and can last for up to 2 years* of use.

Can I use tap water?
Yes, tap water is perfectly safe to use. Unlike ultrasonic humidifiers, minerals in the water stay trapped in the wick filter rather than being dispersed into the air.
How does automatic Dry Mode work?
Automatic Dry Mode turns on automatically to help dry out the wick filter, when the unit runs out of water, is turned off, and after Descaling Mode is complete. You can turn Automatic Dry Mode on/off in the VeSync app.
How often do I need to clean the humidifier?
You should clean the water tank every 3 days and the wick filter every 2 weeks. Occasional descaling will also help maintain optimal performance.
How does Self-Cleaning (Descaling Mode) work?
Add one packet of citric acid into the water tank and fill up with water until the “MIN” water level is reached. Tap the Descaling Mode button to turn it on. You can also turn Descaling Mode on/off in the VeSync app.
What is the tank size of the humidifier?
The water tank size is 4.5 liters. A full tank of water can last up to 40 hours on low fan speed.
Which part is machine-washable?
The wick filter can be cleaned in the washing machine with laundry detergent.
Which parts are made of antimicrobial material?
The wick filter and all water-contact surfaces are made with EPA-registered material to help prevent mold growth.
